Steem price has not been good these days... But hopefully it will be getting better and better... And I do hope I can make it justifiable to go to SF4...

Hi Steve, it's been quite a ride so far. I didn't know you were on tsu too. How interesting.

Anywhere you get humans, you get abusers.

The need for consensus on what is the best way forward is difficult but not impossible.

Consensus is not something that many humans are used too.

Being raised in a class based hierarchical society and all the chains that the system imposes on us takes a supreme effort to. One recognise it and two challenge and overcome this built in bias.

It can be done and the dutch seem to lead the field in consensus building.

This gratitude challenge is a great opportunity to talk about the positive impact steem has had on some of us.

There are greedy people and there are desperate people who will abuse Steem. If it can scale up them they may have less influence, but growth has been slow. Tsu was an interesting experiment. I made some money there and donated a lot to charity. Steem also opens new opportunities. I want to see how that can pan out.

I've suggested a meetup near me in Bedfordshire this weekend, but not many people have confirmed they can come.

I don't know if they got the money or if it was just another elaborate scam?

Thanks to @elizacheng 's resteem I get to see this. She's an amazing friend and an important team member in #teammalaysia. And boy, look at her go! Meeting friends from all over the world. Very proud of her!

I totally agree with you while features are yet to be delivered by Steemit Inc, the Steem blockchain itself has potential. So far I have not seen any blockchain backed content creating platform with proof of Brains has flourished and sustained this long.

I was in TSU and that pyramid scheme was just falling apart. We were relying on one payment source, while in the Steem blockhain, no doubt we need witnesses to sustain the blockchain, but it is decentralised in many ways as not all witnesses are Steemit Inc employee.

And look at DApps and UI start to flourish over the steem blockchain.

Now I am hoping that we (the public who appreciates Steem and its potential) can start building on the Missing Piece of the Puzzle before we accidentally kill the Golden Goose which will need more brainstorming and projects (not just DApps) that could mass adopt the crypto while the community keeps building.

We did the first step; you even mentioned you are willing to buy a guitar pick with steem. Let's hope we can think of something that can really apply to real people in real life marketplace.

Tsu had a good community and a fair few of them came to Steem. I liked the charity work there and I bought a few things. It is just a shame when a community gets broken up. The same happened with Google+.

I have bought lots of things with Steem, including picks. This extra income allows me to treat myself whilst helping others. I want to see more of a Steem economy.

That's really awesome. I am looking at many other things like maybe brainstorming with my local community in #teammalaysia and see if we have any SME who is interested to look into this economy, maybe not in the matter when STEEM and SBD are still booming, but something that both Steemian and SME business owner will not loose out.

In the mean time, I just offered myself to help others make stickes usable for WhatsApp and messenger etc with the fun app I found haha....

At least I hope this will get people going to stir up some economy activity instead of just HODLing / staking.

The day in Lisbon for the Steemfest was really exting days! It was great to met you there in person, dear Steve, and I remember you played and sang one of my favorite Bowie songs during the party in the first day! ^_^
