Sure there is defiantly the possibility of this happening but the difference between the two platforms is huge. Steemit is a App (and maybe a killerapp at that) while Ethereum is a platform for apps to develop, Steemit market cap will continue to rise as good news continues to come out for the app. While Ethereum will rise with good news for any app on the platform.
