Syed Moazzem Ali, Bangladesh's High Commissioner to Delhi, said that Bangladesh is eagerly waiting to solve Teesta water distribution problem. The Teesta Agreement will create new opportunities for Bangladesh-India cooperation.
He said this at a function organized by Delhi's Institute of Defense and Analysis (IDSA) on Thursday.
In a notification issued from the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, the Bangladesh-India relations in the past have been upset over security issues. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina brought full control of the situation.
In his speech Syed Moazzem Ali said that Bangladesh has taken the position of zero tolerance against terrorism and militancy. Therefore, Bangladesh will not be allowed to use soil in terrorist activities in any way
Syed Moazzem Ali urged India to pressurize Myanmar to return Rohingyas.
