Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if we could create a podcast system for the Steem blockchain? I think the implementation of one would be relatively easy (not for me, I wouldn't even know where to begin), and I think it would be quite successful!!

I love podcasts and listen to them way more than I use YouTube or anything like that. It's perfect for a long drive, or doing chores around the house. Plus I know a few successful podcasters personally, and they make BANK!

Right now the best way to monetize your podcast is through Paetreon, which is really counterintuitive and sloppy I think in the way it rewards the users. To ask people to subscribe to the podcast and donate once a week is not a very efficient system, especially when you could just upvote the podcast.

I'm tagging @stackin @bronconutz and @jerrybanfield to get their thoughts in particular as I think they could be awesome podcasters.

If this already exists, I'm so sorry I'm such an idiot.

Thanks guys!

Love podcast... always have them going on on my iPhone wherever I am.

Its a good idea. It might already exist. Not aware of any but I will check it out. Or could be part of dtube itself. I too listen to podcasts when doing chores.

That's true, Dtube might have that functionality. I'll have to check that out.

So I checked it out and there's not a dedicated dtube podcast system, so it wastes energy on streaming video. I definitely think there is an opening here!

Hey, there's dsound. I think it's suited for podcasts. Not sure why I haven't noticed it before. May be I wasn't looking, before I saw your thought. Check it out.

True. Will check out some other platforms and forums. Will share if I find any.

Omg this is amazing! Exactly what I was thinking of, I'm going to test it out. Thank you for your research!
