Community is one of the biggest factors that separates the STEEM blockchain from most of what is out there on the Internet. There are a lot of amazing people on here who are truly concerned about humanity and trying to make things better.
Fortunately, with the STEEM blockchain and cryptocurrency, I believe we have that ability.
TribeSteemUp is a project that I started researching recently. My conclusion is that it is a voting bot for good. We all know the attacks that bots get on here but here is one, in my opinion, that is worthy of support.
Here is what they say that stand for....
@TribeSteemUp is a collective voting bot, created to support content & content creators focused on making the world a more peaceful & free place. Most of its role in this steem-ciety is simply to curate, to help the Steem block-chain recognize & reward the value of great content. The focus is on high-quality content, from under-recognized content creators, and more specifically on those who create content related to:
| Anarchy | Non-Violence | Philosophy | Veganism | Mindfulness |
| Community Empowerment | Love | Original Music | Esotericism |
| Healthy Recipes | Psychedelics | Truth | Permaculture |
The list of creators started off relatively small last summer, all people that @kennyskitchen knew personally, and has since expanded based on recommendations from within the growing community, new members of the Tribe joining Steemit, and new Steemit creators who are in alignment being discovered.
This really sums it up for me: "...a collective voting bot, created to support content & content creators focused on making the world a more peaceful & free place."
Here is an idea that needs support.
One of the wonderful aspects of the STEEM blockchain is that people are posting content that deals with making the world a better place. They are taking action starting or putting their efforts into projects that help others. @TribeSteemUp is dedicated to finding these content creators and rewarding this.
Many social media sites are cesspools of negativity. People complaining about their lives, their families, or the state of the government. While we all know there are challenges, to consistently repeat this stuff is not very effective. The flip-side is there are also a lot of wonderful things happen that we should be focusing upon.
STEEM is going to be one of the major pieces helping humanity along. The Age of Abundance is upon us and changing the monetary system is a core principle. This new Era epitomizes decentralization and a non-hierarchical view of the world. This moves us from scarcity to abundance.
For this reason, this morning, I took a few actions to throw my hat in the ring with @TribeSteemUp.
I became the 112th member of their curation trail on steemauto.
I delegated 250 SP to their account to increase the VP a bit.
They are now on my fanbase on steemauto receiving a 100% upvote from me each time they post.
To me, this is a project created out of love for all. It is also focused upon sharing the wealth on STEEM with as many people as possible. Bringing together people to form a voting block for good is a great idea. On an individual basis we might not have that much of an effect but, collectively, we have enormous power.
This project provides us with said power.
I would encourage everyone to take whatever action they can to join in this worthwhile cause. I know not everyone is able to give in all three ways, but a couple could really help.
To start, the account does not post much so giving a 100% upvote on steemauto means providing a vote every 5 or 6 days. This will hardly kill anyone's VP.
Secondly, joining the curation trail is imperative. It is also done through steemauto and will entitle each person to curation rewards. More importantly, it helps reward those who are providing content promoting freedom and love. The percentage of the vote is adjustable so you can set it at what you feel comfortable with. I used sliding scale voting as my preference.
Finally, I know SP is getting tight these days but if you could spare some to delegate to them, it is a worthwhile cause. From what I can see, all rewards earned are rolled back into the project. Thus, the more that is brought in, the more powerful the entire project becomes. As time passes, it will keep building upon itself.
This post has the details about how to sign up for the curation trail.
Best of all, they are adopting the 1Up curation system that @flauwy often writes about and having a project endorsed by @flauwy is never a bad thing. 😀 😀

I think these quality-focused bots are the right way to go. A lot of good posts get buried in the torrent of daily content produced on Steemit!

A platform like Steemit means it's the users that are responsible to create a nice environment.

This is the 2nd article that I have seen that talks about this community project.
I have to agree that getting Communities to care for people and retain them is one of the most important things that can be done.
Sure we are already past 1 million accounts but to know that more than 500k did not even post or cast a vote is hardly Worth celebrating.
However we are just past our 2nd year and with more condensers being developed and a shifting to a more Communities based focus of people then I have belief in the platform.

We have more like 200,000 users max. So that 1 million number is misleading.

Yeah and paulag post shows we have about 60k active users who are posting and voting although some can be bots so it further lowers the humans doing it.

Seems like another great project! There's no a lot of projects like this one, that focus on curating quality content. It's nice to see that it has over 500k SP delegations. I'm surprised I haven't heard about this yet, lol.

It looks like a great initiative. I'll follow it. We certainly need some of that in the platform.
I still don't have to SP to join the curation trail, i guess, but i plan to grow, so it's good to have these option at hand.

I imagine they select it on their own....they search the content they like on their own. I havent seen anything to nominate people or anything.
As for the trail, yes anyone can join....

I was also very happy when I discovered that community a few weeks ago. It is always nice to see new curating groups emerge that give well deserving support to content creators, especially knowing a lot SP is being used to sell votes...
In order for steem to grow we will need more curating groups like this one, so cheers for them :P

Great project friend but how and what effort is being made to include good content writers from poor Africa countries like Nigeria who most of the people on the steem platform from these poor countries are depending on the steem platform payout for their feeding.

when I first saw people on the @tribesteemup curation trail I felt jealous! They were getting such immense payouts. I still have that feeling from time to time but I also acknowledge that they are providing value to the community and being supported, just as I am. I think maybe when I realize that I don't need @tribesteemup, I will actually get the rewards.
