I'm constantly looking for cheaper alternatives to using the bitcoin ATM to move money out of my account.
Every dime I make goes to paying legal fees and right now bitcoin transaction fees take 20 bucks per transaction. I transfer from bittrex to my wallet and there goes 20 bucks, my wallet to ATM takes another 20... then the ATM takes its 15%.
So researching the system I found Coinsquare.
In theory I should be able to just sell steemdollars for bitcoin to Litecoin; Transfer Litecoin to coinsquare and trade for fiat before sending it off to my bank account.
It's still a theory.
I signed up but haven't been verified yet, which they say is a 1-7 day waiting period; after which I'm going to try the process using one steem dollar.
There's always that fear it's a scam site and won't work... but I'm OCD so I feel that way about the Federal Government... which turned out I was right
It's a new route but I'm glad it exists if it works.
Yep, it can definitely feel like you're getting nickled & dimed when you move crypto into fiat...however: I think of the money I put into crypto and what it's worth now, and I don't sweat a few $20s here and there. For me, it's the perspective that helps make the difference.

Wow!
Thank you for this, though I'm new to steemit I have some amount of shares in bitcoin and the whole thing about the transactional fee is still bothering me. I would give coinsquare a try and see the difference.
Thank you again @thenativeguy for this.
I followed you to get along.
