You rightfully sad that Steemit is filling just another Gap in the Market.

People are talking about, how Steemit will beat Facebook... which
wouldn´t be the case.
Steemit is not competing with Facebook and never will.
The Nature of Steemit is just totally different, compared to Facebook.

Steemit might become a big player - if it pimps its practicaliy; but it will never compete with Facebook. ​
