But you are right MORE people are needed to make a stand. Steemit's future looks bleek until the community can get the rewards system under some type of regulation so it no longer gets abused.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam

    The code seems to be in place to limit rewards (currently 1,000,000), simply reduce this to 100, or 10 and the problem goes away.
