I believe these changes are positive ones, but they don't do anything to address Steem's major problems and so Steem will continue to fail.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
