I have been working with steemit for about two days now. I have loved everything I have seen but had a few questions.
Is steem the system of upvoting & posting content, or is that only steemit.com? This identifies if the power is in the website or in the hands of the community who operates the blockchain.
If you wouldn't mind posting an article to your source, I would love to learn more about this great currency. I have also posted a few articles about my own interpretation of this new currency and hope to inform people of the correct information.
Cheers!
Steem is the blockchain token. In a sense it does power the system. This link should answer your questions: https://steemit.com/steemit/@donkeypong/still-confused-by-steem-steem-dollars-and-steem-power-the-power-plant-analogy

Great article! Thank you for your post. So if the information is stored on the blockchain, we don't need steemit, and the real power is the community and the steem block chain. I have nothing against steemit, I just want to make sure the currency is not limited.
