In Utopian.io you can have a profit by delegating to @utopian-io directly on the Utopian Sponsors section or by delegating to any other Open Source project.
You will earn 20% of all the author rewards generated in Utopian based on how much you have delegated to @utopian-io and/or to any other Open Source project using Utopian.
Profit By Delegating
You can choose one or many of the Open Source projects hosted in Utopian and delegate your voting power to them. The voting power you delegate will be used by the project owners to reward the project contributors.
You get visibility and profits in return, since 20% of all the author rewards generated on Utopian are reserved for the Sponsors (Delegators).
A Message To @Freedom
@elear the founder of Utopian.io has sent a message to @Freedom, one of the biggest whales and is asking to help growing the following projects by delegating to them.
You can also consider delegating to the following projects and be rewarded for that.
- Delegate to Busy.org by @busy.org. Utopian has already delegated 10K.
- Delegate to Vessel by @jesta. Utopian has already delegated 10K.
- Delegate to eSteem by @good-karma. Utopian has already delegated 10K.
- Delegate to SteemPlus by @stoodkev. Utopian has already delegated 5K.
- Delegate to SteemWordmap by @blueorgy. Utopian has already delegated 5K.
- Delegate to MineColonies by @reggaemuffin. Utopian has already delegated 5K.
- Delegate to SteemPlay by @deveerei. Utopian has already delegated 5K.
Utopian Has Already Delegated 50K
Not only Utopian.io hosts these Open Source projects and upvote every contribution, but it is also delegating Steem Power to them to let them grow. Utopian.io is the front-line delegator inside Utopian itself.

Fantastic ask! Ask and it shall be given to you!!
We are in the process of moving several years of private development work on an exciting project over to github in order to participate in the utopian model - this application built on steem really is changing the development world!

Are you sure that centralizing power on the platform is the way to success?
I can see that it suits your purposes to a t, but we already live in a world built that way.
Count me out.
I hope you reconsider.

How this is centralising power on the platform @freebornsociety? The platform is a container of projects and we are helping those projects getting delegation. I can't imagine anything more decentralised than this. The only thing that is centralised is the utopian-io account but someone must own it. There is not a workaround for that.

You are inviting (facilitating) folks onto teams, no different than the dems, reps, crips, and mongols.
When folks team up the tendency is to exclude those that don't play along.
Perhaps you will support folks that dissent?

@freebornsociety Utopian upvotes every contribution indipendently from the specific project. The direct delegation to specific projects is a way to facilitate the project owners in giving rewards to their contributors, still Utopian upvotes every single contribution with the voting power delegated to utopian-io.

Yes, and delegation takes from those that need it to give it to those that greed it.
I get that the platform needs to be built, but if you get paid from all content creators involuntarily/unknowingly (mostly) to do it, dont be surprised if we dont worship you as gods as we could if you gave the work freely.

@freebornsociety Utopian does not take anything from the author rewards directly. The author rewards are given back to the sponsors and to the moderators. Utopian only gets added when a Sponsor opts out from getting the rewards as Ned did. On top of that all the curation rewards earned by Utopian are reused to delegate to other Open Source projects and to keep the platform running. Every transaction is transparent in the wallet and explained in great details. I understand distribution is not good in Steem but this is because there are few real investors in this platform yet and we are trying to change this.

When @ned, or any of the other top 10%, delegates their sp everybody else's vote is diminished in proportion.
While the largest accounts continue to dominate, to force their ideals on the rest of us, there is no reason to invest.
Why invest in a game where investing helps the haves more than me?
And while the attitude appears to be the way it is, like it or leave it?
It is my opinion that we need to reverse some hard fork choices and build a community responsible enough to not use every advantage over others to enrich themselves.
Viva! the n2 and responsible voters!
It is a business decision, ultimately.
The game isn't attractive to the masses when they get dominated by the few.
It seems to me, that the longer this situation persists the larger the hurdle to overcome when the business decision is made.
I doubt you are prepared to build for free, crapitalism refuses you the environment to do so, so bear in mind that you are taking from all of us to do what you do.

I don't think you understand Utopian. No steem app has had more success distributing rewards than this one.

Are you sure the way you approach conversation has any value? This whole thread you speak with authority and on the edge of riddle.
It takes you 10 messages to explain what you actually have an issue on, and then your final proof: the word ”math".
If you actually care to create a discussion, and open peoples minds(!) Then speak clearly, to your point, and use your proof to actually make a proof. What is this "simple math" in which the act of delegation strips you of your rewards? You realize when a user delegates sp, its an act of lending right(they only benefit from the sp once they take it back? And you realize that the 20% kickback is author rewards right?
The author rewards are tiny compared to what is being given to projects to make steem better.
My suggestion is this. If you get off your high horse for a second, learn to build an argument so that other people than yourself can understand it, respond directly to people instead of just side step their response, maybe you could have the impact you think that you are already having.

Hey hey guys! :) I've been a sponsor for quite a while (even making it to a couple of shoutouts now :D ) and I just have a couple of questions. @elear I don't know where to direct this so I'm commenting here. Sorry if these are noob questions.
I don't want to seem like I'm all about the dividends. I'm quite happy delegating to this amazing project even without the payouts. I like what you guys are doing and I just wish that I'm able to contribute more as a moderator or whatever. I've just been so shy contributing to the projects for some reason, but I'm hoping to change that in the coming weeks.
