I'd love to see the day that I no longer need to rely on Facebook for the connectivity of my life, and relationships that seem to have come to revolve around that service. Kind of sickening really, but its a sad truth.
Life on the prairies isn't like it was on the island. Out there, you could think hard enough on a particular event or finding a friend. And poof! There they are, or some other magical encounter of the sort. Alot of that likely has to do with the high levels of quartz that Vancouver island is composed of. And the sacred geometry that was used when Victoria was designed. But that's another story.
One thing that would be wonderful to see here on Steemit.com is of course a messenger. Naturally, I think it is a good thing to not have it. To not have to be concerned about recieving messages directly. And of course, the chat servers are only a click away. But it'd help to eliminate the use for Facebook.
Now one of the things I really like about my steemit experience is the anonymity that it brings for me to freely share whatever content I feel worthwhile of the time it takes to record. And I could likely spend more of that time digging around for ways of tagging my posts more effectively to draw more attention. But I want to maintain the feeling that one day people will happen across one of my posts and discover a world of wealth, diving deep into the ideas and insights that are laid out before them.
Never hurts to dream!
Another great thing I think we could use are the little group's that are available on facebook. Now, not a direct rip off from their system. Even though a majority of their systems have been developed to be highly accesible and whatnot. But inside of my mind, I'm imagining these little groups to hang out in much the same way we can come to find content based on a good search query. But, that it would also provide some other function. It sounded alot better inside of my head this morning. Hmm..
What other things would you like to see come together on the steemit network?
steemit.com is life changing platform and there is no way facebook can be steemit. Thanks for the post

certainly would never want steemit to become facebook. Steemit has so much more potential, in a decentralized world! But there would be some things that would help me get off of Facebook all together, and keep my interests private again!
