Half the projects on steem get built through payment of bounties. Offer a bounty for a team to build SMT. I bet you would have them quicker than you think

      I am familiar with utopian but unless things have changed the rewards you get through that are not nearly enough to attract large c++ contributions

        Yeah, there could be a similar solution but specifically made for Steem(it) development community. With real rewards.
