How to find out who flagged you!

in steem •  8 years ago  (edited)

A couple of days ago I wrote an article on Bitcoin pioneers joining Steemit and it got flagged by someone who was probably jealous and thought he should be there but wasn't included, I wrote an article on it About the pathetic behavior of a whale.

Even though I was quite sure about who had flagged me, I had no way to verify it, so, I've spent some time trying to find a way to know who flags posts, and I eventually found an easy way to do it.

The only things that needs to be done is to substitute the end of the TLD... this is... if a post would originally be http://steemit.com/tag/@user/post we should substitute "it" at the end of steemit.com for a "d" in a way that it would be http://steemd.com/tag/@user/post This would take us to a page that gives us detailed information on that particular thread, including who flagged the post.

Have you tried it, did it work for you?

As a final note, YES, the flagger was the same person I thought had flagged me. Gotcha you coward!

Flagging is generally the antithesis of cryptocurrency and decentralization. Unless there is obvious trolling or abuse of the system there is really no reason to flag. It should take multiple flags to bring down a post and be weighted by the number of users rather than a persons steem weight.

Why do you think he flagged you? Or, if you don't know, why did you suspect that he was the one who flagged you?

I thought he was jealous of not being included in the list, even though he was tagging him as a crypto expert... I actually don't want to mention him, I don't think its correct, but you can easily find out following the instructions above with the original Pioneer post and you'll see who he is!

I saw who he is. I'm trying to figure out why.

Ok. How are you going to that?

Thank you for your comment... I'll look through it!

If you press the arrow next to the votes you will see a + or - . Hope this helps

Thx for your comment Karen, but I'm talking about flagging, not down-voting!

Flagging and downvoting are the same thing. Karen is absolutely correct.

Ah sorry got mixrd up there

Lol... :) No prob!

You were right! Flagging and downvoting are the same thing.

Wow I got something right lol

Sorry, my bad, I thought they were different things. Way to go @karenb54 ;)

That only shows the last few votes though. If you want to see more you need to check out steemd.com or steemstats.com

Thank you... didn't know that!

It shows the most powerful votes. If a whale flagged you, it will show up near the top of that list.

I made a bookmark for switching any post on Steemit to Steemd. https://steemit.com/steemd/@craigwilliamz/steemd-statistics-bookmark-for-easy-access-to-steemd

Cool, thx :)

Right, steemd is very helpful to do some inspection on the blockchain.. I had created a bookmarklet to make it easier to switch back and forth between steemit and steemd.. hopefully you'll find it useful.. https://steemit.com/steem/@bitcoiner/steemit-steemd-quickly-switch-between-steemit-com-and-steemd-com
