great post, most of the sections are filled with useless or spammy posts.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam

    Agreed.
    It's probably the biggest issue with Steemit right now. (minus the recent hack)
