So, being absolutely brand new to this community (within 30 minutes still), can someone explain how it is that this stuff happens? Makes me wary, and I don't want to be the wary type on here.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
