Why not add ads to Steemit that can be bought with steem?

I am not sure if someone have already suggested this, but would it not be a great idea to let people buy ads on steemit like on facebook but with steem. When someone buys the ads the steem gets burned making everyone elses steem go up in value in theory and therefore adding value to the platform. Ads is the way facebook is making hundreds of billions of dollars and implementing this kind of automated system where all the money companies use to buy ads with would directly go to content creators would add enormous value to steem and steemit.
