Not long ago I was promoting steemit.com at the Cardiff and Bristol Universities with @starkerz and we talked about what is the best way to pay with Bitcoin or withdraw cash from an ATM. I always wanted to have a Bitcoin Visa/MasterCard to pay with online or at the shop, so he recommended the Wirex Card which is a prepaid VISA card and you can simply withdraw money at the cashpoint with a minimal fee. Basically you convert any altcoins to BTC and send it to your Wirex account.

First, you have to register and order your card which is $17 but you can pay in Bitcoin as well. You can order the card for USD, EUR or GBP payments separately for lower fees. Afer you got your card, you should activate it on the site.
You can find your Bitcoin address connected to your Wirex account.

You have some spare Steem to convert it into BTC through Blocktrades or send BTC from any exchange to your address.

After you see your BTC you can load it onto your card and pay instantly or withdraw cash. It has a low fee and a good exchange rate.

You can order virtual card for your online spendings as well, so it is a safe and cheap way to spend your Steem and other altcoins. It has IOS and Android app as well so you can check your balance or move money within seconds. The withdrawal fee from cash maschine is currently $3.

Thanks for the tip, next step is to have a fullfilled account. Btw it's best to spend fiat money first as we lose value by keeping it.

That's true :) but BTC is pricey now...

Thanks! Super helpful post for us newbies to crypto spending!

You are welcome!

I need to get one once I get enough to spend. :)

I needed it because I need to cash out some altcoins to pay my bills, not because I have a lot. I am a full time steemian, but my income is very low here :)

Greatly
