There are some steem accounts, which I want to follow but something seems to be wrong with the execution of follow commands or follow/unfollow button displaying.
Example:
I want to follow steem accounts @zipporah and @zyx066.
I click Follow button on @zipporah profile and Follow button of @zyx066, which is one of her Top Reblogged Users (shown in the column on the right side).
The command executes as I get following screen. Both accounts seemed to be followed by me now.
SteemWorld: ok
Steemd: ok
Everything seems to be working fine, but when I refresh the page in browser or revisit same accounts later on, it looks again like I'm not following the two featured users from this post.
Is there any particular reason for this or is it just some bug in the blockchain?
I don't know how the 2 users see this, but they probably get the message I started following them all over again (at least in Notifications section in Busy.org). And this must be pretty anoying to see, and I appologize to any such user for just wanting to follow them.
UPDATE 1
Github Issue: https://github.com/steemit/steem/issues/2846
UPDATE 2
I just realized one thing, which might help @timcliff, solving this problem. All the "problematic" accounts for me start with letter Z, meaning they are all at the end of the alphabet. I know some people who have trouble following me and I also start with letter Z.
It seems that if I follow many persons and try to follow newly somebody from the end of the alphabet, this doesn't properly show in follow/unfollow buttons. It looks like a time related issue in combination with number of people followed. Try to think in this direction, maybe there is something to it.
Example: I just started following @zainal.bacee for first time ever just for test. I see myself in his list of followers, but the follow/unfollow button says I'm not following this user.
UPDATE 3
Github Issue: https://github.com/steemit/condenser/issues/2996
Oh, don't you worry about that. The "Follow" worked, as you've checked on the blockchain.
What didn't work was the connection between Busy.org and the Steem Network, at that time. Usually refreshing the page fixes that.
But it's just a visual glitch, really. If those persons post something, you'll see it on your feed.
I hope this helps.

I don't know buddy. This issue shows always with very same users. Even if I follow via Steemit, the problem appears. Refreshing the page does not help actually. I will pay attention to what you are saying ... if the person posts something, will I really see it in my feed. I have just submitted this issue to Github now as well. Thanks for your comment.

I have run into that issue both in SteemIt and in Busy. I guess that happens when the Network is overloaded.
But if the Blockchain says you're following them, you don't need to worry, really.
Do a quick search for "following" in this page https://steemdb.com/api/accounts?account=zorank
If the users are in that list, all is well.
PS: With 16000 in your following list, I don't know if that page will load at all...

LOL reg. PS: ... it doesn't completly, and both users start with letter Z. I will check on their side, if I'm among followers. Thanks again!

Yes, that might be easier. Maybe you crossed the limit for the number of people you can follow? (I know there's not a defined limit, but depending on the type of variable used, it might happen.)

No, it is not that because I can still follow new users. I'll see what happens on Github.

I'm in their list of followers, so I suppose they are in my list of people I follow as well.

Hi there @zorank :-) I see you following and unfollowing me in GinaBot in Discord... I think it most be a bug: I've had this before with one or two other accounts. I'm following you now, maybe that'll make the difference ;-)
Thanks for trying to follow my humble blog :-) <3

Hope this will make the difference! :-) If not, I will write down the accounts names, which I can not follow, and visit them manually from time to time. There are few accounts, which keep un-/following me as well. Thanks for letting me know, how do you see this issue on your side, @zyx066.

Every activity on Steemit takes 3 seconds to confirm, sometimes more. Therefore, problems can occur when you shut down your browser or turn pages. I think that is the reason.
