Introducing: Project Steem-A-Dream. Ready for television?

We all love those television series where poor or unlucky families houses are getting fixed, shows about helping people getting out of their debts, series about pimping cars to please a relative that deserved it, we just love things that make us feel happy when we see other's crying from joy, emotions, happiness. What if a blockchain called steem could achieve this?

Actually, some of my friends who work for a large television group came up with the idea, the concept. Being close friends, they've seen me making some nice rewards for the contributions I give on Steemit. That made them think, what if we could apply such a system on real world issues and document it all. What if we can convince the people, unknown with technology, that such a simple thing could change the world with nothing more than a simple upvote click? What if we could bundle the stories, the work behind it, the process, and make a television series out of it?

Steem-A-Dream foundation

The account @steemadream will become the main holdings account for all charity projects Steem-A-Dream will execute. A group of yet to be selected people from around the globe will trace down real world issues that are worth getting a change. All projects will be subjected to a thorough investigation, pre interview and every step will be monitored, documented and published. When selecting a case, we'll make sure to investigate independently that no personal relationship with anyone from the foundation is present.

What are we looking for?

Mostly people who had their portion of bad luck. People loosing their home, belongings, family, and other things we take granted in life. People forced living on the street due to a reason that makes no sense. People who lost their entire family in a tragic event and lose their belongings because of it. Everything that makes any normal human being say 'How on earth is that even possible!'. Steem A Dream is not looking for people who put themselves in debts, who are homeless because of their own actions, for example, by addiction, or fraudulent people claiming to have bad luck.

Changing lives at 0 costs? How will that work?

Let's take the example of a fictional person called Maggy. Maggy lost her husband in a blazing fire 4 years ago. On top of that, she lost her home, her belongings, literally everything she used to own. But the insurance company keeps delaying things, and Maggy ends up on the streets. With no family left to go to, she's forced to ask people money on the streets just to survive.

What if we could be those people passing by her cup filled with cents, and throw in a couple of cents. But not in real life, in digital shape. What if every simple upvote click could fill her cup?

This is where Steem-A-Dream comes in. We'll start documenting the story behind Maggy's bad luck, and collect some change in her cup. By upvotes. 1 click could make a huge difference. If we calculate that Maggy would need 25.000€ to get off the streets and have back a real life, then we'll divide this amount between posts and count on your upvotes.

If, on average, every post could make 2500$, being about 4.5k total post reward, we could document the story in 10, or even 12 posts. 10-12x an upvote from you could give somebody's life back. Can you imagine what power we harness with Steem ?

The entire process from start to finish will be documented with the goal to turn in into a television series. This won't be the first week of course, we first need material to create something. The journey will begin when we found our first mission.

What Steem-A-Dream is looking for ASAP

When will Steem-A-Dream start to take shape?

Once the foundation has at least 10 members who are actively searching for people who had bad luck. The cases must be well documented and approved by a supermajority of 8/10 (80%) members before we engage in our first mission.

Why the name Steem-A-Dream ?

First, the name should speak for itself; We'll make your dream come true using Steem. Secondly, when abbreviated you have the initials SAD that references to the sad situations those people are in.

How do we know the funds are going where they should be going?

A multisignature wallet will be provided and setup once the foundation has the members required. All transactions must be approved by a majority of the members (80%) before a single cent can be moved. The SP gathered will be used to maximize exposure and weight on votes.

How does this benefits the Steem community?

As we know, positive media attention is king! It would demonstrate the power of technology in a way people can relate with. It will make them think about how we shaped the technological landscape in a way that it could actually change lifes, help people, be decentralized, be more than the negative things they hear about it. We can show everyone why they should invest in Steem, why they need to participate in what possibly could become the biggest evolution since Bitcoin.
