Good day to everyone and a happy sunday! Today,i am so happy to share my post as my topic is "father figure".

Father figure;everyone in this world was born with the help of a father. The role of a father in a child's life can't be compared, can't be changed, can't be mixed up and above all its is very important. From the birth of a child to the tender stage(growing up)the role a man plays at this point is very crucial as this is when is best to teach and mold the child into a better person. Most children who grew up seeing and being with their father don't know the great privilege they stand to gain.
I grew up in a home without no father, not that my dad was dead or my parent were divorced but as a result of distance. My dad is journalist and due to the nature of his job he wasn't always around as i only get to see him once a year and In some cases once in 3years. It was very tough growing up with only my siblings and my mom but never the less my mother did her very best to make sure we never noticed the missing presence of our father.
The missing presence of fathers in a child has so many effects and i will list a few using my experience as an example:
I was shy and ashamed growing, couldn't associate with my peers because when we would always play together and everyone begins to talk about their dad,I literally blank out and start crying because i know I have a father but know nothing about him.
I have no memories of a fun time outing with my father like every other child do and its very embarrassing!
I long for the feeling of getting to run and jump and hug my dad anytime he comes back from work shouting "daddy oyoyo" but never experienced it.
And I know there are so many people out there who faced the same challenge and know how it feels.
Most times even without telling people I grew up with my mum just by display few characters they say things like "you were raised by a woman" or "is your dad late" or "where is your dad,are you sure you have one",as annoying as this questions can be i still answer them.

I am am all grown up now but it doesn't mean I wasn't affected because i was and I literally can't speak for everyone because our situation differs. I don't have a good relationship with my dad not because I have not tried but as a result of growing up without him. Most times i wish i can go back in time and change the way things were but it wasn't my fault and i miss the #FATHER FIGURE IN MY LIFE.

Special thanks

Sorry about this situation. But I believe you can still make it work while he is still alive. So it's not too late.

I also miss my dad. Though he's late, I enjoyed a great time with him while he was alive. We were really fond of each other during his lifetime.

Hmmm you must have gone through alot growing up without your father around. Please do ensure you look for a way to strengthen the bond somehow,I know it might be difficult but just try. The Father figure is really important in a child's life.
Thanks for sharing your heart with us.

Your experience is a touching one, what so many parents don't understand is that they have to provide materially, spiritually, and emotionally for their household. Also children appreciate the time parents spend with them more than the money, I'm sorry about yours but you can learn a lesson from this.
