Round and Round

I'm getting my act back together re: art, Steemit, and photos. Just getting my creativity back in-gear. When I went back to work, everything fizzled. I wasn't painting or shooting or blogging. Nada. Now that my schedule has leveled out, and I've been on a couple mini-getaways, I feel ready to create again. SO stay tuned to this spot to see what I create! I have some neat ideas up my sleeve!

In the meantime, here is the last piece that I made. I really enjoyed playing with the round shape. It lends itself well to fluid painting as the circle is obviously such a fluid shape. It was a joy to play with the edges and the movement of the composition. Unfortunately, this piece warped a bit as it dried, so it's not really sellable. Fortunately, I like it enough that I have it hanging in my living room! Perhaps it will find a buyer one day who doesn't mind a bit of wonky artwork!

Sorry for the lame cell phone pic!

Have you ever tried creating round artwork? Did you enjoy it? How does round artwork make you feel? Is it easier or more difficult to incorporate into a room? I want to hear your thoughts!

This is pretty, @caitycat :> I think you'll get even more love for your arty posts if you also include the step by step photos :>

Thanks, @veryspider! You're right, of course.... I need to remind myself to do so. I just get a little too "into it" I think. All other thoughts go out the window! I will try to remember going forward!

I loooove this.
