Wow, haven't posted anything in six days! SIX DAYS! What a let down, urgh...
I'm really sorry about that, everyone!
At least have a great news - I finally passed my first presentation! Woohoo! ^.^
In short, it's a procedure to defense my Ph.D. (I'm not even sure if that's the right way to say it). It consists two presentations, couple of months apart - a very tedious and long process. Took all my energy, time (and savings too XD)...
But the first part is over, now it's time to do some paperwork... I'm about to faint...

The boring stuff aside, now it's time to share with you something I made with lots of love and motivation.
It's a project for a pendant that can be worn on a choker... ^.^
I was really hooked by some tutorials on youtube showing how to make DIY pendant. Everyone were using different pictures, photos, etc. but I decided to paint my own.

It all started as a simple sketch.
I made the .psd file smaller than the usual size of my illustrations, because it's supposed to be printed in 3x4cm. The shape is based on some materials I bought in a nearby store.

Next was adding some skin colors. I didn't have to put many details, because they wouldn't be seen at the end.

It was time for the hair.

More details. I think I overdid it a little... XD

I didn't stop there. Decided to make a second version from the same work. Because I really love purple hair, but don't have the courage to dye my own. XD

It was time for printing. Because the paper was in size A3, took the chance to make many small pendants, including some of my previous works.
Here's sample file.

And here's my present already packed and ready.
If you like, I can show you my process of assembling all the pieces.

Wow, thank you!
Yes! ^.^

Very cool! I have yet to take my art and make it into anything. Seems fun :)

Thanks, @midlet! ^.^ Yes, it's so much fun and and also satisfying to see your work implemented into something. I love making things using traditional materials. I kind of lost that feeling when started working digitally, but now I'm so happy that can combine different techniques.
It'd be awesome to see your incredible works printed. ^.^

Wow you made a small pendant out of it!!! :O
That's awesome, katalina! Do you wear the pendant and where do you put it on? You should definitely show how you made the pendant, I think it's an interesting journey to share ^_^.

And of course the girl is pretty, but I feel that goes without saying about your art fufufu, they are all beautiful! Though I like the redhaired version better, because red > purple. Mwahahaha! (This is just personal preference ^^)

Thank you, @scrawy! Thank you for showing such interest in the making of the pendant and another thank you for appreciating my illustration. ^.^ You've inspired me to make second post, but also to continue sharing similar stuff. I really love making some crafts and DIYs. ^.^
The red version is better? Hm, I think you're right. Thanks for that too! ^.^

this looks so lovely, she looks so lovely :D
nice work

Thank you very much, dear! ^.^ I'm so glad you like them! <3<3<3

I'd love to see the process of assembling all the pieces! I am finding people who are working on craft projects to join @steemmakers and share their ideas/instructions. Also, I would love to see you sell items like this on the @ifc's marketplace. Let me know if you are interested in more info :)

Congratulations on getting through the first part of your PhD!

Thank you so much, @plushzilla! (very interesting name, btw) ^.^
I'm very happy you like it! I was just about to write today a new post/tutorial how I assembled all the pieces. ^.^
I'd love to join @steemmakers although the pendant is the only thing I have for now. ^^'

Hi, @prushzilla! ^.^
I made a post on how I assembled all the pieces for my pendant. If you haven't seen it, you can check it here:
https://steemit.com/steemartists/@katalinaooma/my-small-pendant-part-02
I'd love to hear your opinion about it! ^.^

Hi @katalinaooma, the instructions were very detailed and the pendant was a beautiful way to showcase your wonderful artistic talent! It would be great to see your work in the next round of the iTalent contest hosted by @ivan.atman and also some of the @artzone posts :)

Thank you, @plushzilla! ^.^ I'm really glad you like it! ^.^
I checked the iTalent contest - it's really amazing. I even made a comment bellow sharing the links to my crafts, but forgot to check the rules (and I think I missed the deadline). So I hope there will be another amazing contests like this one in the future. I'd love to take part in them. ^.^

Don't worry, @ivan.atman is doing a great job with the iTalent contest so just keep an eye out for the next round (if you haven't already joined the Discord group). Steemit definitely has lots of talent!

Purple is my favourite energy projection colour.
Let yourself go.

M, thank you! ^.^
