Make Up

Every nerve in his body screamed with fear.
Aaron was about to make a call that could have put them out of business.

He’d completely blown a $60,000 ad spend for a big client, with zero return, because of a simple oversight.
And now, he had to own up to it.

He felt so bad, he made a deal to cover their losses with free services.
It took major sacrifice on his part.

It meant working late nights until the debt was paid.
Slowly, his efforts started to repair their relationship.

That was almost 10 years ago, but the lesson he learned then has stuck with him:

We all make mistakes.
It’s how we respond that determines our character.
There’s no “perfect record” in business.
Success comes down to our willingness to make things right when we mess up.

Telling his client he’d lost his money was embarrassing.
It was scary.

He's worried he’d put their agency out of business.
He thought about having to tell his wife and kids how much trouble they were in.

He had to make it work.
The client was blown away - by both his honesty and by the results.

Now, he sends referrals to their agency.
He have generated $200,000+ in leads from their relationship - all because he was willing to make it right.

Would we do the same?

Are we willing to own up to our mistakes?
If we can’t honestly say “yes,” ask ourselves why.
