Bamboozled's Bamboo Contest

Win 5 SBI Shares in the second round of Bamboozled's Bamboo Contest #2!

This time I decided to host the contest on my blog and publish it on Steemit via the @Steempress Plugin. I only recently started blogging about Bamboo and its various uses, Diy Projects and Bamboo Products. Last time I posted this contest on Steemit I was overwhelmed by the many stories and cool pictures that showed up in the comments!

The rules will stay the same:

Today it is all about bamboo

You can participate with a comment that has SOMETHING to do with bamboo.

Do you have a bamboo kitchen floor or a favorite pair of bamboo socks?

Is the little IKEA bamboo stick on your desk the only plant you managed to keep alive?

There is nothing more relaxing to you than listening to bamboo flutes in the evening? Or maybe you are a philosopher or Feng shui fan?

Is it common to build with bamboo in your country?

Feel free to share!

I will give 3 Shares to the winner I choose via Random.org and two times one share to the comments I like best.

Hint: I love pictures!

How to enter the contest

+ Post comment about Bamboo

+ Upvote, resteems, etc - are welcome but optional.

The main reason why I posted the contest this time on my blog is that I am looking for guest authors to write and publish here. The topic for this campaign is "Bamboo around the world". If anyone is interested, let me know!

Steemit is a decentralized social network running on the Steem blockchain, that launched 2016. Contrary to other social networks, users will earn money posting and curating content on Steemit.

The backbone of this social network is its blockchain, where every post is saved. The social network is running a beta version, so it can still be seen as an experiment. It allows users to learn more about blockchains and cryptocurrencies, while they are interacting with each other and are able to blog about every other topic.

The content is saved on a globally distributed network of decentralized Steem blockchain nodes. That means it is very hard to censor.

There are multiple decentralized apps running on the Steem blockchain, such as Utopian.io, the only platform rewarding contributions to Open Source projects by utilizing a decentralized, vote-based reward system

or Dtube, a decentralized platform similar to Youtube.

About @Steembasicincome

The purpose of this account on Steemit is to provide every user with a basic income. To participate the user has to send 1 Steem to@steembasicincome and name a person he wants to sponsor.

This means there are always at least two people profiting from every Steem send to the project. The basic income will be distributed in form of upvotes.

As explained in the section above, every post can earn you money. How much money is determined by the number of upvotes your post receives. So if you consider blogging on the Steem blockchain, this will motivate you to write posts and help you get started!

This link will transfer you to an article on Steemit that explains the project in more detail.

Hello. Thank you so much for introducing me to your awesome contest. A few weeks ago, I have been to a very interesting coffee shop by the sea side in Sagay, Negros Occidental in the Philippines. Kape Albarako serves really good coffee, but what is more amazing is the beautifully hand painted bamboo edifice. The shop serves as a home for a local artist and he and his children handpainted the whole area. I love the place so much. It is very relaxing and artistic. It's like walking into a gallery while sipping a great cup of coffee. Here are some photos and if you wanna re read the article, here is the link to the post. https://steemit.com/travel/@janicemars/coffee-meets-art-kape-albarako#comments

Thank you and more power to you.

Yeah, bamboo is an amazing material. It's really fast-growing which can help us reduce our impact on the environment when we use it as a building material.

I've even recently seen a farmer, here in South West UK, growing bamboo - so the demand must be increasing.

I have bamboo toothpaste.

seriously? Never heard of that. What brand?

Bamboo Salt Toothpaste, made in Korea, bought at a store in Vietnam by me in 2017 back when I lived in Vietnam teaching English. This toothpaste says LG VINA Cosmetic Company Ltd. In Korea since 1992.

Oh well..since our @walkofhope main man @flabbergast-art was happily selling his bamboo didgeridoos...might as well post some of them here and more bamboo innovations he has done.
