STEEMBET – Clinton vs Trump – Interim Report

in steembets •  8 years ago

I listened to the debate and was disappointed in both candidates for different reasons. Trump was rude and did not answer the questions much of the time and Clinton failed to build a positive vision for her candidacy in a substantive way. All in all though I as an elder female who has been watching the decline of our society since the 70's because of short sighted, principle free, selfish, mysogonist, science denying, planet destroying conservative 'values' old white men who care for nothing but being ideologically supreme, no matter the cost to humans or the planet...... I know that Clinton will do less damage to our current society than Trump. She actually cares about people and the planet, maybe not as much as I would like, but more than Mr. Trump cares about anything other than his own 'brand'. I do not trust Trump to be a rational Commander in Chief or an adequate overseer of our Justice system, Public land protector, Leader of Education, or to invest in an equal and just society that values all it's people and environments and thinks about and acts to create a good society for our grandchildren to be able to thrive in....... ALL our grandchildren, not just wealthy white off spring, they don't need anymore priveleges, we must create an equal start for ALL our children.... Invest in stable nurturing environments for all children, support families, educate for the 21st century, invest in our collective future not just memememememymymymymymy. It takes a village, to raise children, care for elders and nurture our common environment..... my pov. oc

I had a choice of listening to the debate or cleaning up some baby vomit in the nursery.
I decided the vomit would be more entertaining.

I watch this election from another country so I don´t have direct knowledge or perception of all the candidates´ shortcomings, mistakes, etc. Broadly speaking, I feel this is yet another instance of "choosing the less detrimental one", which unfortunately is an attitude that most people in most countries deem appropriate when elections approach. Would a total boycott be a more useful attitude? Don´t know. Anarchy is a great concept, but I feel the most fruitful approach to instil "anarchy" into the system is acting from the blockchain side, building decentralized economic actors, than from the election side. At least at this stage.
