There are many religions in this world that we are born into. Have you ever thought about why there are so many religions and some worship many gods while others have monotheism. Some people have decided that they do not believe in God altogether. They are atheist. These readings of for those who are interested in religion and the moral value that most of the stories hold. In each story we learn about I hope that we can see some of the basic messages that are delivered and keep in mind this book was designed for a child to understand.

I wanted to take the time to share this book with people who are interested. This book was the book that taught me how to read. I read this book every day at the same time with my mother and siblings as a kid. I would also go on to continue reading because the stories were very interesting and always taught a valuable lesson.

As a child you learn the religion of the adults around you. As an adult you follow the religion that you believe in. It is kind of cliché because you can actually have your faith in the religion you were taught as a child and that is just fine. These readings are not to convince you to change your religion but to remember it. I study a few monotheist religions and when you listen to the stories in some places it differs. Is this what the different religions quarrel over? This is not the goal here. Let us just focus on the moral righteousness and also discuss the differences in a respectful manner.

Creation to the Flood

In a monotheist religion the first thing a believer does is put everything under the control of one creator; God. Therefore, we believe that God created all things, the sun, moon, stars etc… In My Book of Bible Stories it teaches that Adam and Eve disobeyed God and lost the right to keep living.

A Brave Man

In My Book of Bible Stories it says that once the descendants of Adam and Eve began to populate the Earth a lot of the people behaved similar to Cain. Why is it that? Is it our animalistic urge that causes us to act violent towards each other? Or is it just human nature?
In this book it says that Satan(Lucifer, the devil etc..) was the cause of people doing wicked things. That has to remain the case today. Lucifer is hard at work to keep us from the straight path.

God sent Enoch with a message to his people. The message was…

”God is someday going to destroy all the bad people”

In this chapter the pictures are very illustrated and depicted. As a child this is one of the things that made me eagered to learn how to read this book. It shows a picture of Enoch (just a depiction I am sure it is not him), a picture of a man killing and robbing another man and his family, and people drinking alcohol and worshipping false gods.
Enoch lived to be 365 years old and it is stated that this amount of years was not a long time. Can you imagine that? I believe that people can live this long today if the right conditions and knowledge was met. We live in a technological age and we live fast. E’noch had a son named Me·thu’se·lah and he lived to be 969 years old. The people who lived around that time was wicked. The Bible say’s that everything they thought about was bad all the time.
