HTML on MDN

in steembloggers •  7 years ago  (edited)

I have now got around to looking at  MDN Web Docs  and I think I will enjoy looking around at this site. Although, I like writing about what I am learning I think it would be interesting if I added a live recording of viewing and performing some of the work. That idea will hopefully be put in place in the near future.

I have completed the first step of getting started with MDN!!!
I am very excited to begin this process of learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. I know it will take years to get use to it but I also know it is very rewarding.

I am a beginner and I am allowing you to follow me as I work through the stages it takes to become advanced.
HTML describes and defines the content of a webpage.
CSS describes a webpage’s appearance/presentation.
JavaScript describes how it will function and behave.

Hypertext is about how webpages will link and connect to each other. As an active blogger I will upload content and learn to link it to pages created by other people.
Markup is the tags that are used. Tags have elements that annotate text, images, sound etc… Some tags are simple to remember while others are complex. There are nested tags, parent and children tags, attributes and more that I may not be aware of yet.

On this page after reading the definition of HTML, I was referred to three sites within MDN. They were:

  1.  HTML Basics
  2. HTML Learning Area
  3. HTML Reference

I opened the three links in new tabs to review in order but I kept reading on the same page. The next topic on this page explained what I would learn in the HTML Learning Area. In the learning area there will be multiple modules that teach HTML from the ground up.
