Great Blue Heron In The Afternoon
I spotted this Great Blue Heron yesterday afternoon. The appeared to be grooming himself after catching his dinner in the lake. The feathers on his chest looked wet and ruffled. He seemed to be unperturbed as I moved in close enough to take a few shots.
I never get tired of taking photos of Blue Herons. They are constantly showing off interesting poses.

Heron is most definitely not perturbed by you arriving to photograph, amazing yellow/green eyes watching your every movement.

For sure! I tried not to make any sudden movements. He was quite busy grooming, but I'm sure he would fly off in a heart beat if I got too close!
