Steem Caption Contest Winners!!

I ran a little caption contest last week for a drawing I did. The idea was for everyone to give their ideas for a caption I could use to put on a t-shirt with the drawing. Sadly, only two steemians entered the contest.

The Original Drawing

Entry From @darkflame

Entry From @jacobtothe

Thank you both for participating

I've been really racking my brain trying to decide who the winner could be, but it is impossible with only two entries. So, I'm going to say they are both winners and I've sent the first place prize of 10 Steem to both participants.

I really wish more people would have joined in. I see all these meme contests getting a lot of participation and figured people would jump at the chance for 10 steem. I shared the contest throughout steemit chat and then @jacobtothe did the same thing a few days later with no extra responses. Maybe it was just bad timing and I'll have better luck next time.

A Weird Observation

On a side note, after my contest post paid-out and I wanted to see if there were any more entries on the last day, my post seemed to have disapeared from the #steemcaptioncontest feed. The same was with @darkflame's because that post was also paid out. The only one that was showing was @jacobtothe's.

Is this a glitch?

Or is this supposed to be like that?

I still think there should be a way to view older posts even if they have been paid out on a certain topic. If this isn't a glitch then, to me, this sort of implies that a paid out post no longer has value and it's basically been discarded. Sure you can still see the post in each individual's blog, but why not have them visible in the created section (new section) in the order that they were created? This would allow a greater chance for someone to stumble on the post. Although they couldn't give any monetary value to it, they may still want to follow the author for similar future posts.

Is there a way a person could still look up all the posts under a specific tag within steemit, or would it have to be done elsewhere like steemd.com?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I am sad I missed this one I would have entered its a great drawing. If you do another one I will be sure to enter cause its a very catching image. I love your work and still use your logo in many promotions for steemit and soundlegion big ups to you and your talent here on steemit

Sorry you didn't get more entrants (I resteemed). My contest isn't getting much attention either. Maybe they need a little more time for people to get used to them.

It happens sometimes I guess. It just has to be posted at the right time for the right people to see, so it can pick up steem (pun intended). Thanks for resteeming!

No problem (I never forgot that Simbi post 😉)!

Just switch from the "new" tab, which only shows recent posts, over to the "trending" tab.

I tried that. I also tried checking in "active" too by manually typing it in, but it's the same. If they aren't showing up in those tabs, maybe there should be an "all" tab to view older paid-out posts.

hmm...

Thanks again for the Steem!! I look forward to more contests.

Yeah no problem. Thanks for playing. I thought with 10 steem being about $30 I'd get a bit more participation but I guess not. Hopefully, the next one gets some more. I've combined the caption ideas for both entries into one for putting on Amazon. I'm just waiting for it to be approved by their system.

I have given away so much Steem. That's what is great about this platform is how people are willing to share. I suggest people send Steem to people they like, and at $3 prices now I think 0.25 Steem is a fair tip. You are more than generous! Steem on!
