How To Live A Godly Life In An Ungodly World

Of course, godliness with contentment does bring a great profit. Nothing to this world we bring; from it take we nothing. With food to eat and clothes to wear; content we are in everything. But people who want to get rich keep toppling into temptation and are trapped by many stupid and harmful desires that plunge them into destruction and ruin. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, in their eagerness to get rich, have wandered away from the faith and caused themselves a lot of pain. 1 Timothy 6:6-10

Serving God wholeheartedly and pleasing Him should be the greatest desire of every person who has made a great commitment to be his follower. God wants us to serve Him and not just serving Him but serving Him in a manner that will be pleasing to Him.

We cannot just live anyhow we want if our greatest desire is to please God. Until we learn from the scripture to know how God wants us to live there is no way we can please him. Apostle in his letter to Timothy highlighted how believers of God should live.

Be Content With What You Have

Godliness with contentment is a great gain. A. man's life does not consist of the abundance of wealth he has but how content he is with what God has blessed Him with.

From the word of God we understand that we brought nothing to this world and we will take nothing out. If God bless us with food, clothing and shelter let us be content with it.

There is nothing wrong with having all the things you need in abundance but it's wrong when God has given you enough and you still crave for more.

Those who are not satisfied with what God has blessed have not yet understood the principles of godly living. We will not take anything we have amassed with when we die and the world is jot our final destination, we are just Pilgrims on a transit on this very planet that will not last forever.

This is the reason God wants us to be content with even the little has blessed us with.

Never be in a hast to be rich at all cost for money is not everything. Money is good and not evil but it is the root of all evil. It means people sin becuase of their lust or drive to have money. Any person who needs money at all cost would not hesitate to kill or commit murder for money.

Evil presents itself in the heart of men whenever it is about money. For this reason God wants us to live our lives free from the persuit of money in our quest to be rich.

It is the blessing of the Lord that makes a man rich and not necessarily hardwork or the principles for success.
