That the Church is the Body of Christ is one of the clearest teachings of the New Testament. It is Paul who, in his epistles, above all, to the Romans and Corinthians, transmits the figure of the body as an illustration of the Church. Figure that contains various teachings that should not be forgotten but that often are:
The Church is the Body of Christ
The body is made up of many members
Not all members have the same function
Each member has and must accept their own function
Each member must respect the function of the other members
Each member has the duty to function for the construction of the rest of the Body
We often forget that we need each other, as someone wrote: When Christ returns for his Church he will come to pick up his wife, he does not expect a harem. Church there is only one. And we should not identify it with any institution or denomination, because we would be making a terrible mistake. Only God knows who are truly part of his Church.
Despite all this, some like to walk alone. They say they walk only before God and not before men. In most cases, they show a critical spirit towards all the other members of the Body of Christ, displaying a spiritual pride and a lack of humility unworthy of a servant of God. There is bad talk about the brother or the sister church.
I think that more books of apology have been written among Christians than of evangelism.
Which is a terrible paradox.
Those who like to work alone almost always hide a high concept of themselves
themselves and think they do not need anyone. In reality they hide a great fear that
anyone could overshadow him They feel a huge inferiority complex
that disguise self-sufficiency. What at first seems spiritual is only
spiritualism We should not forget that many false prophets went through that
way to get where they are.
Let's face it, God is wiser than we are. I knew what he was doing when he put us
in community. We need each other. In the Church there is no super
Christians with their own light, but many members subject to each other.
