Hello Fellow Steemians,

Today is the very first day of the month of February 2018 and we are in the second month of the year 2018...We give God all the and praise for seeing another new month of the year 2018, May His name be glorify in Jesus name Amen.

Today we will be looking at the subject matter "DISOBEDIENT IS LIKE THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT AND STUBBORNNESS IS AS INIQUITY AND IDOLATRY"....1 Samuel 15:23 This was a statement made by Prophet Samuel to King Saul because of disobedient to God's word and commandment.

No matter who we are or the position that we are occupying or sitting on, we cannot be bigger than the instruction of God and disobey His commandment. God words and commandment should be the first priority in our life. It is God who put us in any position that we are occupying now and He can also bring us down.

Lot of Christian move and go about their daily activities doing what is contracting to God's word and commandment, and them expect God to be happy with them. No, it doesn't work that way; for we to see the blesses and goodness of God upon our lives must must be obedient to His word and His commandment.

This is the blessing that God pronounce upon His children through the mouth of Moses His Servant from the book of Leviticus 26:3-12 The Blessing

  • If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
  • Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
  • And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
  • And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
  • And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
  • And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
  • For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
  • And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
  • And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
  • And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

And These Are The Curses Which God Pronounce Leviticus 26:14 - 38

  • But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
  • And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
  • I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
  • And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
  • And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
  • And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
  • And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
  • And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
  • I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
  • And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
    *Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
  • And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
  • And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
  • And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
  • Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
  • And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
  • And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
  • And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
  • And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
  • And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
  • Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
  • As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
  • And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
  • And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
  • And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

When we look at the story of King Saul in the bible, because of the spirit of disobedient his later end was really terrible; why? Because God left and put an evil spirit inside him to control his life, and his death was really a shameful and a disgraceful. He kill himself and the enemies took advantage of cutting off his head and taking it to their camp.

Disobeying God's word will not take us any where but will bring upon us the curses which God has pronounce in His word. For God cannot be mock or deceive, what so ever a man sow that will he reap. If disobeying God's word will bring His curses upon our lives and generation, why then we don't keep away from those thing that will destroy our lives and future.

God said in His word "The Silver and Gold are Mine" Ask are you shall Receive, Knock and the Door will be Open and Seek you shall find. These are the three simple step that God has given to us to apply when looking for Him. But are we using it?

Disobeying the word and commandment of God can not guarantee a successful and victorious lives, but it can lead us into condemnation, because the wages of sin is dead, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Therefore let's be obedient to God's word and His commandment.

OK, that is the end of today's message. But let's remember to obedient to every instruction of God's word, because that is our guarantee to live a successful life here on earth....

that is very true! that is why i had a post recently about the obedience of children. i believe that it is very important to teach them this value so they learn early on to obey God. good read!

Thanks for your contribution... I will check on that now.

It takes commitment to God to be obedient. Many uncommitted Christians are disobedient and rebellious today because they take the grace and goodness of God for granted.

That is truth. Disobeying God will not lead anybody to any successful....Thanks for your contribution.

If we must maintain a good relationship with God,we must remove the spirit of disobedience from our heart.we read how people in Bible times disobey God and they were severely punished.God loves us more when we obey his laws and commandments.thanks for the admonition.

Yes, God love us more when we obey Him than disobeying Him....Thanks for your contribution.

i think we would pay more attention to the issue of obedience to God once we decide to take our faith serious. God is to be feared and this is to be taught

Our God is a merciful God and also a consuming fire.....God respect His word more than His name.

Guy you said it all, very correct and well articulated. Nothing destroys destinies like disobedience to God not to talk of our fellow humans to. l put it this way,disobedience to man and God is high way to destruction.

Thanks for your contribution...We must obey God rather than Men.
