The New World Translation deliberately mis-translates the Bible to fit their twisted theology. Jehovah's Witnesses deny Christ as savior. They teach a works based salvation. They even forbid blood transfusions even for children. You're supposed to let your loved ones die rather than "eat blood". Jesus said that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Jesus healed on the Sabbath. Don't you think God wants you and your loved ones to get a blood transfusion if you need one rather than die? The Jehovah's Witnesses only go back to the 1800s. Are we really supposed to believe that what they say is the truth and there wasn't a single true church for 1800 years before them???
It seems weird to refer to God as Jehovah. That's what the cults like the Jehovah's Witnesses do. They also deny Christ. They claim that was just an angel when the Bible is clear that Jesus is God himself.
(John 14:8-9 NIV) Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." {9} Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
(Isaiah 9:6-7 NIV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. {7} Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
(Daniel 7:13-14 NIV) "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. {14} He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
(Psalms 72:5-8 NIV) He will endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations. {6} He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth. {7} In his days the righteous will flourish; prosperity will abound till the moon is no more. {8} He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
(Psalms 2:7-9 NIV) I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son ; today I have become your Father. {8} Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. {9} You will rule them with an iron scepter ; you will dash them to pieces like pottery."
You only mention Jesus once. Ultimately you should expect no help from God unless you've repented of your sins, accepted what Jesus did on the cross to pay for those sins, and accepted Jesus as your Lord.
You can also expect no spiritual growth or comfort from the Holy Spirit unless you've been saved by accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord.
And then of course there's the false teachings about soul sleep. Jesus saw Moses on the mount of transfiguration. John saw the souls of those beheaded for their faith during the Great Tribulation. Jesus told the thief on the cross that he'd be with him in paradise on that very day. And Luke talks about the rich man in hell where he was in torment. So obviously nobody who knows the Bible should believe in soul sleep.
