ARE YOU A GODLY FATHER?

Who is a Godly Father?: This question is not just providing a quick answer to it,you need to sit down and think first because not all Fathers are real father to their children. A Godly father is that man who walks in the right path,one who trains his children in the way of God. Someone who is not afraid to train and guide his children in a godly way. Not only will he teach his children,but also be a Father to people around him. A man that God can vouched on him that he will take care of his children in a way that pleases Him.

Jesus is a perfect example of a godly father to His children, He does so many things for them.

• Teaching
• Leading/guiding
• Feeding with the word of God
• Caring and giving them what they want. Etc.

God has given children to the parent especially the father to teach them in the ways of God. Fathers are a role model to their children and others looking up to him. They emulate him because he is the one leading them,so it is very difficult to change a person when his role model is also deviating from the true and right path.

Proverbs 13:22,
"A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children and the wealth of the sinners is laid up for the just"
A man who is wise will make sure he doesn't live his life unprofitable but will live to hand over to his children and grandchildren. A good man will always teach his children the good things because when he goes away,the children will walk in that path.

The disciples of Jesus always follow Him because of His teachings,and after He went,the disciples took after Him and they were performing miracles like their father. So also a good man must take his children in the right path so that when he dies,they will not deviate from such way.

God's plan is for us to prosper (3 John 1:2) also Jesus promised abundant life to His followers (John 10:10). When God has prospered you, it is His own doing to bless your children and make them act as you lay down for them and also make them prosperous than you are.
God wants His children to become great that was why He gave them to a caregiver who will help Him train them in the good path of righteousness.
Abraham trained his Son Isaac in the way of the Lord,that was why God made promises for him.

Genesis 22:16-17,
"By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD,for because thou hast done this thing,and hast not withheld thy son,thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee,and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven,and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies."

It was because Abraham trained and teach his son in the way of God that made God to pronounce those blessings on him. When a father guides his children in the right path,he will be blessed according to the promises of God. He wil waxt strong even his children will wax stronger than him.

God's promises was not only blessing Abraham, He also multiply his seed. You can also benefit from these when You take the steps Abraham took in making his son serve and worship God. The only secret of Abraham's fulfilled promises is that he laid a very good and solid foundation for it. You can also lay a good foundation too,that is the secret behind it.

How do you make good foundation for your children?

• Build an altar in your home by worshipping God with your children around you.

• Share the word of God to them,by doing so,you are making them closer to God

• Be a prayer warrior and also teach your children how to pray

• Pay your tithes at the right time,when children see you doing this,they will also want to emulate you

For the sake of your generations,I implore you to be a godly father so that God can bring to pass His covenant He has made to you and the children coming after you. If you lay a solid foundation and the fear of the Lord in your family,they shall be mightily favoured.
