Ecclesiastes 5:10,
"He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver;nor he that loveth abundance with increase:this is also vanity"
Love can be very good if it is only concerned with God and things he created, anything apart from God's love is vanity, all will fade away one day but the truth is things of God will always look good each day. It is a pity that many people don't even look after the things of God but rather runs after the foolish things of the world and they never lasts. They say, "money is the root of all evil",but let me tell you, not only money but whatever you have interest in aside God's property is also the root of all evil. One object we must not show more affection on is money.
Some people have now turned money to their gods that they have no time with God's business. A man who prayed to God for a job and after getting the job now thinks he must have time for the job more than God because of the money involved. One thing is sure, if you love money more than God,He is the owner of it and will take it away from you when you don't have His time. There are so many girls in town that follows after wealthy people all because of their money but never runs after the work of God. When God blesses you and you can't even pay 10% of what God has done to you all because you feel even the 100% cannot be enough,it will never be enough because you don't believe in the God of increase.
You see your friend lavishing money and because you don't have, you feel uncontented and goes to meet him, then he introduces you to the dirty business he engages in,when won't you regret because it is not all that glitters are gold, one day it will fade away. There are dangers of falling in love with money and it is found in 1Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is the root of all evil:which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". The solution to this is to be contented with what you have and never allow money to overshadow your faith in God.
When we love silver and other things such as cars, houses, chieftaincy titles, degrees etc, they will never satisfy you, they are vanity in the sense that all what you love and worshipped as idols while on earth will be given to another person when you die. The rich fool in Luke 12:16-20 thinks he owns everything and forgot his life and all what he has,he left them behind.
I want you to seek after Godliness with contentment in Christ Jesus and also surrender your heart to Him including your lust for money. The race for all material things that will varnish quickly will only bring frustration at the end of the day. When your treasures are found in Jesus Christ,He will never disappoint you and things from Him will never fade.
Good to hear from you, Thanks for sharing with Us!
