A REASON TO LIVE

I often don't pay close attention to issues of suicide till I recently encounted a young lady who was at the verge of committing suicide. Her relationship had ended on a rock, her faith sinking and her world was coming to an end simply because the guy she trusted disappointed her hence she thought suicide was the best option. God miraculously save her and life is now exciting and meaningful.

Let's read
Psalms 118:17
"I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD." KJV

According to the Psalmist we have a reason to live and that is to declare the works of the Lord. We are alive because the glory of God have to be transmitted to the world through us. Our birth was never a mistake to God. We may be mistakes to our parents probably due to the circumstances surrounding our birth but God hatched a plan for us to declare his works even long before we were born. Hallelujah!

Many are contemplating suicide on a daily basis as an escape route to the issues of life. Many are the news we hear of people committing suicide because life may be unbearable. The truth is, life may be bitter, unbearable, painful or whatever yet we have a reason to live. There may be a 1000 reasons to end life prematurely but there is one reason to live and that is to declare the good works of the Lord.

Beloved, I don't know what may be going wrong with your life now but one thing I know is that it is all to the glory of God. You may be down to nothing but God is up to something. Let nothing weigh you down. Let no conditions cause you to loose sight of your reason to live. Declare this to yourself; I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let's pray that we will be empowered to do whatever the lord has commissioned us to do so that our reason for living will be fulfilled.

He who declare his word and believes in Him even if he dies will live, that is an assurance God gives to those who heartedly want to serve Him. Good to share with us @christianosei

In any affliction that people live, let's say: hey my friend! The Lord is near to save those who have broken their hearts and spirits. 19 The righteous go through many afflictions, but the Lord delivers them from all of them. Psalm 34: 18-19

Very true. Thanks for adding up

When we remember His coming, there is always joy and assurance to face the challenges on the way to His kingdom.
We need to hold hands of others to Christ.

The truth remains that HE is coming sooner than soonest and as such we are expected to keep sanctifying ourselves looking unto that glorious day. For as many that have fallen, remember 2 chronicles 7 :14. HE is very much willing to accept us back jus like that of the prodigal son. Scriptures says in the days of ignorance, God overlooks but HE commended men everywhere to repent; HIS arms are widely open for those who want to let HIM in Rv3:20

To have a promotion we must go through trials, this allows us to get closer to God, to attach ourselves to Him, to trust Him more, to enter new levels of Faith. God bless you

Every time you defeat a temptation, you become more like Jesus. As He is so are we in this world. Amen!!
