A heart, pure, clean, thirsty for the love of Christ, but our greatest proof of love is loyalty to him, that is our test and that is how we know how much we love him.
When we see the Scriptures we can realize that we can not lie to the Lord about what we really feel, we should never deceive him because, we will not be to his liking, we find him in John 2: 23-24. Because of the miraculous signs Jesus did, many began to trust him, but Jesus did not trust them, because he knew their human nature.
Jesus knew that they loved him for the signs, for what he was doing, but it was not real, their hearts were far from him, what they said to feel was false, they did not feel love for the son or the father, they were just there for the acts witnessed and yet they did not give their hearts to him.
Matthew 15: 8-9. This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
To love God must be done with faith in him, you must love beyond an expression, is to make a commitment that lasts forever.
God looks at the hearts of people, knows what they are going through, because he is the only one who knows their feelings, what they look for and what they want, and how they act.
But, beyond all, ask yourself if you really love God?
The answers are in the Bible, we will realize our feelings and if we are really delivering our love to the King.

Loving God is an action, it is making a decision, it is choosing him first of all, we must be loyal to show the love we feel because it is an attribute of God and that is why he demands it from his people, because he is loyal.
He who loves God always believes what is good about him, and never believes in the enemy, he simply stands firm in the Holy Scriptures. Loyalty does not take vacations, we must fight to achieve the loyalty that God demands and we must not fail him.

It can be a struggle for Christians to love God. We do not see Him and many times do not feel Him...but I learn the Christian walk is not based on emotions. If I base my salvation on my feelings well then...I will feel lost one day...and I will feel saved another day. We walk by faith. Faith is what overcomes the world and is also what pleases God.
I learned something about Love in relationship to our spouses. We sometimes grow out of love with our spouses. But all it takes is to exercise the action of love and then the feeling of love will come again.
In other words, do not wait for the feeling of love to come before the action. Do the action of love like dating, hugging, romantic things, and love will be revived in a relationship again.
How do I apply this with God? God says if ye love me keep my commandments. We should not wait for a feeling before obeying God. Go out and help people. Go out and love people. When you do unselfish things for people, your love and faith and connection with God will grow.

This is indeed a really thought provoking subject. A lot of christians claim to love God with all their hearts but they exhibit contrary qualities to the will of God. Why do we go to church?? Or sing praises to his holy name?? Is it because we really adore the father? Or are we just scared of the thought of hell and eternal damnation. Gid sees the human heart and knows those that love him in spirit and in truth. Psalm 51 talks about having a purr and steadfast heart in God.
