God Sees Differently

One of the things which often hinder us from going further in life is our past. We all have worse past or something we never did right in the past. Now that we are Christ God wants us to forget the past completely. God himself never remembers our past anymore for if nayone man be in Christ he is a new creation and old things are past.

God unlike man does not remember our past sins anymore when we come to Christ for sees as new creation. Just like a newly born baby is without spot or blemish God cleanse with the precious blood of Christ, wiping away all our sins including those in the past.

In God sight he sees us differently from how people sees us. He sees as great vessels that can be used for his honour and so whiles we stand condemned in the sight of man we stand justified before God, glory be to God.

Everybody saw Mary Magdelene as a professional prostitute. Someone everyone wouldn't like to associate with, someone who had seven demons manipulating her to do their bidding.

Jesus, however, went to the Mount of Olives. At daybreak he appeared again in the Temple, and all the people came to him. So he sat down and began to teach them. But the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery. After setting her before them, they told him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the very act of adultery. Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women to death. What do you say? They said this to test him, so that they might have a charge against him. But Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger. When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and told them, “Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Then he bent down again and continued writing on the ground. When they heard this, they went away one by one, beginning with the oldest, and he was left alone with the woman standing there. Then Jesus stood up and asked her, “Dear lady, where are your accusers? Hasn’t anyone condemned you? “No one, sir,” she replied. Then Jesus said, “I don’t condemn you, either. Go home, and from now on don’t sin anymore.”John 8:1-11

They all wanted to condemn her when she was caught red handed with another man commiting adultery. That day would have been her last day if not for the timely intervention of Jesus and the great wisdom he used to save her.

Have you pondered over why Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus and would do anything if it means climbing a tree just to see him?

The man an extortionist, a thief and a cheater. No one could have possibly deliver him. He realises that he has got everything he needed in life yet something was still missing in his life.

He needed the peace of God, something that no amount of money can buy. Perhaps he saw his fellow tax collectors like Mathew who had repented and now follows Jesus around.

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, who was the chief among the tax collectors, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature. And he ran on ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at your house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.Luke 19:1-6

Something was missing in his life and wanted to sed if this Jesus he has heard about can be of any help to him. Everybody saw a a great sinner. Whiles everybody condemned him Jesus stood with him and even slept in his house.

And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. Luke 19:5

This was something Zaccheaus had never seen in his entire life, for a righteous man to identify with a sinner. He was touched and that made him repented and gave his life to Christ.

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:8-10

Sometimes it is even hard for your own brethrens to understand why you behave in a certain way or have a certain character which make you look so odd but hey! God understands you more than anyone.

God is the only one who sees the struggle every sinner go through. This is the reason why never condemned any sinner. He was sent purposeply as a saviour to deliver those who were perishing therefore he couldn't in anyway condemned those he came to save.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17
