WHY YOU NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT

1.You need the Holy Spirit to know Jesus

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you see me: because I live, you shall live also. At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Judas said unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:16-23

2.The Holy spirit gives a revelation about Jesus.

It is through the Holy Spirit that we know Jesus well.

The essence of having the presence of the Holy spirit in a believers life cannot be overlooked. When Jesus was on earth he had the Holy Spirit in Him all the time. He tried many times to explain to people the father son relationship He had with God but it was something that was so difficult for people to comprehend because since the beginning, no son of man ever called God his father or called himself a son to God. This was the reason why some people found it difficult understanding Jesus.

Christianity is all about knowing Jesus and having a good relationship with Him. You cannot know Jesus until the Holy Spirit reveals Him to you. Matt.16:13-17

It is through the Holy Spirit we understand a father son relationship.
This relationship will be made known to you as keep the words of Jesus.

The reason why it is so important knowing Jesus is that it is through Him the father son relationship is declared. John 1:12

When this relationship is declared, it makes us custodian of all that the father has... Matt.11:27

3.You need the Holy Spirit to attend to or observe the word of God.

Another most important thing that mattered to Jesus was to ensure that all that He taught the deciples never goes in vain. This was one the reasons why the counselor has to come.

A comforter who is the Holy Spirit counsels, helps, standby instructs, directs, guide, intercedes.

It is one thing to know the words of Jesus and is another thing to keep his words.
It is easy to forget the words of Jesus when faced with real danger and real temptation. Jesus Himself quoted the word of God when tempted by the devil by the enablement of the Holy Spirit. Peter and rest of the deciples easily denied Jesus because they had not the Holy Spirit.

He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:24-26
