Great love

We have grown accustomed to sin to the extent that we have lost the sense of its graveness in the sight of God - such a lamentable situation. A lamentable situation not only in the case of the unsaved but even in that of the saved.

God is Holy and Just who wouldn't tolerate any bit of sin. As a matter of fact, it took just a single sin for Adam and Eve to be driven away from the Garden of His presence and be cursed. Mankind was henceforth by nature children of His wrath.
Despite the constant rebellion of man since the fall, He chose not to abandon us but pursued us and showed us His love by giving us His Son Jesus Christ to be the propitiation for our sins in order for reconciliation with Him to be possible; A reconciliation that gave us the place as the SONS of the Living God - "behold the manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us"; from children of His wrath to the children of His greatest love.

Our captivity has been broken, our sins forgiven, and hope restored...Oh! how that we would live the rest of our lives here to love Him the more as we behold His love in the light of the graveness of our many sins and failures which was shown in the humiliating death of Christ on the cross, for as it is written "he who has been forgiven much loves much".

May our hearts be enlightened to know more and more the depth of His love for us as our hearts are convinced the more and profess with Apostle Paul in all solemnity that "...he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
