STEEMCHURCH: Jesus is not superficial

In our context and church space there is always talk of Jesus, his love and his actions, which speak for themselves. His language is to embrace and not judge, lift and accompany, love and surrender. If we do all this that Jesus taught us, surely our country would be different, no matter the religion, whether you believe or not, just follow these actions and everything will change in our reality.

It impresses me how people show a face of 'holiness' or 'stamps' - as Pope Francis said - parishioners who talk all the time about Jesus, even learn a biblical quote and repeat it at every moment, teach it to their known and those who do not, showing a Jesus that maybe they do not really know.

At the moment of acting these people, in the daily life, are transformed, criticizing the other, by their way of walking, dressing or talking. If he is a beggar, they show him an unpleasant face, or he can be thrown this phrase, 'work, so that things are won'. They are not able to understand reality. At that moment I dare to say that they have a superficial Jesus, about whom they talk a lot but who do not carry their interior. They preach of His actions, but they are not able to do the same, they are insensitive to the other, Jesus approached all those who needed His help.

He is not superficial, at no time have we seen a Jesus who speaks of loving and then hates. His words were not just a speech, his words are actions. Saint John Eudes proposes us to be 'another Jesus, on earth', that we make his actions a part of our life, of our day to day life. To do a good deed we must not go to the other side of the world, everything starts from home, in the reality that each one lives.

Jesus approached the prostitute, the lepers, the rejected and the sinner. What do we do today? Be good expectant, saying what to do and not do. For this reason, he again stressed that you have a superficial Jesus, who is in good speeches and who often stays there, and actions, on the other? Where are they?

It is clear that Jesus teaches us through his actions. He wants others to replicate his message and act. He wants you to be full of good intentions, especially that you do it with love and not just for others to see you. Let Jesus live in your life, in your heart, in this way you will have a living Jesus that walks with you.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be offered as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins.

1 John 4:10

He is the sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins, and not only for ours but for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2: 2

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live but Christ lives in me. What I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me.

Galatians 2:20
