STEEMCHURCH: SERVING GOD IS A GREAT PRIVILEGE

Jesus said: "You did not choose me, but I chose you", that is why service to God is an honor and privilege. Without doubt, without the Lord we can do nothing, once we are aware of His call we must take strength in him, and serve him with all our love, and like Paul, "His grace has not been in vain with me". Service to God is a privilege.
After approaching and knowing the Lord Jesus Christ, one of the desires that arises with great force inside our heart is to serve God, and passionately we begin to do different things for him.
God has reached us with His grace and love, giving us salvation and imparting in our lives gifts to serve Him, so persevere with joy in your service to the Lord Jesus, knowing that everything comes from him. Although your environment is difficult and adverse, remember that these crises or tests are temporary, and that Jesus won and now lives in you. Service to God is a great privilege.
There is a battle between considering ourselves suitable or not to serve the Lord, this is because we consider that we are not "suitable" enough "saints" or "mature" to serve God, but in reality this is not about how good or we are perfect, but of how powerful Jesus Christ is to do His will in each of our lives.
We must consider, for example, one of the disciples of the Lord Jesus and it is Peter. This man was a native of Galilee, a land distant from Jerusalem, the Galileans were not pure Hebrews, and Galilee was an area with little schooling, and therefore Peter did not have much training.
Pedro was also a fisherman (then he was not a priestly family, not descended from a scribe, not even an assistant in the local synagogue), and if we reflect on his character we see that he was inconstant and impetuous in each of his decisions. But in spite of all these things, the Lord Jesus called him to become one of the twelve apostles.
As we reflect on the process of Peter's formation, we see that on several occasions he made mistakes, and some of them were great (like telling the Lord Jesus not to go to the cross). Despite these things when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the one hundred and twenty in the upper room, we see that it also came upon the apostle Peter (who had also denied the Lord Jesus three times).

After the outpouring of the Spirit of God he became a powerful instrument in the divine hands to preach and save thousands of people in the power of the Spirit of God. The Lord chose us because of His love and not because of our merits. He is good.

We give thanks to the Lord who has mercy on each one of us and forgives our rebellions, he deals with our character and transforms our hearts step by step, persevering in His purpose and teaching us how a father instructs his son, although sometimes because of our obstinacy the learning scenario we make it difficult and painful.
The Lord takes the foolish and weak of the world to shame the strong and wise, so that no one can boast in His presence. Then to the question Why did God choose me? We must respond by His grace and goodness.
We must be clear and present that what we are we are by His love and grace. We can serve him and fulfill his purpose because everything comes from him, the word, the gifts are his, the ministry is of Christ, the anointing is of the Holy Spirit, the people are of God, the gold and silver belong to him, then What is ours? Everything belongs to him, that is why glory and honor belong exclusively to our Lord.
Conclusion: Peter failed to learn, but he had the virtue of doing it again, of humbling himself in the presence of God, persevered clinging to the grace of our Lord, until reaching God's plan for his life. Therefore, go ahead, do not be dismayed, the Lord is with you. God takes care of you.
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm and immovable, always progressing in the work of the Lord, aware that your work in the Lord is not in vain.
