Dear Community!
To read the sermon on the Mount is to understand the reality of life in which Jesus proposes in the midst of difficulties.
"And Jesus, seeing the multitude, ascended to a mountain, and, seating himself, his disciples approached him, and, opening his mouth, he taught them, saying: 'Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens, blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. "
Matthew 5.1-4
The Beatitudes describe those who chose God and said YES to his Kingdom.
Interesting to analyze the highlight that Jesus gives to the poor in spirit, those who mourn. The community of Christ is represented by those who suffer, whether physically or emotionally. All the injustice of values, contempt and discrimination against the followers of Jesus represented how relevant the Gospel is to the reach of the most humble. Jesus placed hope in those whom the world despised.
In the current days ...
Taking the current Christian Church as its focus, reality does not differ much from what Jesus proposed in his passage. Christianity suffers with the contempt of interpersonal and social relationships similar to those that the suffering followers of Jesus went through. Today's youth suffers with the exacerbated need for sexual satisfaction through the stimuli proposed by the world.
The people Jesus calls of the blessed are described as sick, who suffer from evils. A crowd of miserables. And there, before him, there were people wounded and wounded. Wounds for life in its various occasions.
Currently, wounded people who follow Christ suffer from evils that may be far from the resolution's reach. When they suffer from relationships (dating, friendship, marriage, what is) weak and liquid, they suffer from sexual pleasure and pleasure stimulated and little reflected, where the recognition of Jesus about healing those wounds is generally far from practice.
When Jesus says "Blessed are the poor in spirit," they are those who recognize the need of Christ to reign over difficulties.
Recognize that Jesus is Lord, the one who governs the relationships of life as a whole, placing in Him the hope of something greater and better come from the Heavens. Recognize that the Kingdom of God is peace and prosperity - "... for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" - and make sure that all open wounds will be healed today by the fullness of the Kingdom of God tomorrow.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Blessed, not because they cry, but because they believe in God's comfort. They seek and walk with white in Jesus, recognizing the need to always be persevering in the cause.
The wounds and difficulties we will always have, but blessed is he who waits in the Lord and perseveres with white in Him. We suffer for what is very penetrating in our minds for relationships, but weep for mercy and grace over us and our wounds, we go to take a step towards certain is said in Psalm 27.14 - "Wait on the Lord, courage and he will strengthen your heart, wait, then, in the Lord.
