FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: Love and Peace.

Happy new day, God go with us each day in Jesus name. Yesterday, we treated the fruit of the spirit in general and remember I said as time goes we will be picking some of these fruit for analysing purpose. Today, I chose to discuss more on Love and peace.

Firstly, am going to talk about LOVE.
Some of us have not realy gotten the indept meaning about God. When we understand God, we understand love. Why is this so? Because God is love!

Without the act and manifestation of love, our confession of faith becomes hypocritical.
The out working of love.

1 john 3:16-18. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethen.
But whoever has his world's goods, ad sees the brother in need, and shut up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

The above verses have said it all about love. What love can be greater than the Love of God for allowing His son, Jesus Christ die on the cross of calvary for the sin He didnt know about but for the sin of me, what greater love could have existed? I usually ask myself this, can I realy die for anyone? It is so tough to answer. That the more reason why you and I should appreciate God's love. Love is sacrifice. Let your love not be in your tongue to be said at all time, let it show and manifest in your deeds.

As a christian, we ought to show example to the world by our love. Seeking out for the needs of our neighbour. The most important thing is when you truly love, you can go an extent, you can sacrifice a lot for your neighboir without having to think of what you stand to loose.

I pray God gives us the grace to love Him more and extend the love to our neighbours. Even showing the love to sinners is another way of winning their heart to Christ. Be of a good cheer and a perfecr example people shoul learn the principle of love from.

The second fruit is PEACE.

Who brings peace? God does. Have you ever in life experienced an internal peace of the Lord. When you have God, you have peace.

Mark 4:37-39. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

The above scripture have talked more about peace. How can you be experiencing a big storm in your life and still have peace? It is only possible when you have God. Every one on the boat in mark where busy screaming and greatly afraid for the storm, but our Christ Jesus was peaceful at His sleep. Even when He woke up, He was not afraid, what did He do? He spoke to the storm to decrease and the storm listened. Are you commanding your storm? Are you telling those problems how big your God is?
Do not be afraid of any storm, what is needed of you is to have faith and command. With little faith, believe me you can move mountains. Speak to that storm today, let God's peace be with you like never before.

Today let pray for God's peace in every area pf our lives, for our family, work and especially for your nation and the world in general. God's peace should reign.
