I am no perfect or 100% holy and righteous daughter of Zion or Christian but this question keeps resounding when I backslide.
Some times I mess up so badly and wonder if at all God is going to love me again and it happens that when there is a genuine cry for revival and forgiveness I'm purged out of every unrighteousness and accepted back...
Now most times we find ourselves indulging in ungodly acts that makes God gloomy, we not only sin against God but against ourselves in some cases.
We're aware of our unfaithfulness
My living conscience reminds me of this
One thing with sin is that it creates a huge bridge or gap between the Creator and His creature's that is us.

I am so glad Jesus loves me and not just me He loves you too.
I am identified in Christ and would want my life and entire being to portray Christ....
The bible passage above reminds us that God is ever ready and willing to revive our hearts if only we follow the necessary conditions.
We must do all it takes within our power to maintain that God and son relationship, the adventure with God whether great or small brings eternal blessing's.
God's blessing's are so rich and most times even in our unfaithfulness he still loves us and brings us back with the other hand after chastising us to ensure we don't keep moving to the part of eternal destruction.
What manner of love is this?

His love is excess, make that move for revival because the love God has for us can never die nor quench.
He went a long way to die on the cross of Calvary for our name sake, He shed His blood on that cross as an atonement for my sin and yours.
He brought His glory to change our stories
He demands that we repent and commit to living a holy life worthy of emulation, one that portrays Christ.
Many times I myself have backslidden but when I realise my mistakes, remember how selfless His love is and how hurt He is seeing me in the state I'm I cry out for revival in prayers.

2 Chronicles 7:14 is taken out of context. It has nothing to do with Christians today. God was talking to Israel. There's a much longer passage about it in Kings :
(1 Kings 8:33-49 NIV) "When your people Israel have been defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you, and when they turn back to you and confess your name, praying and making supplication to you in this temple, {34} then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to their fathers. {35} "When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray toward this place and confess your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them, {36} then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach them the right way to live, and send rain on the land you gave your people for an inheritance. {37} "When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when an enemy besieges them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come, {38} and when a prayer or plea is made by any of your people Israel--each one aware of the afflictions of his own heart, and spreading out his hands toward this temple-- {39} then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. I don't believe we'll ever see revival again in America. The people are growing more and more wicked. Christians are increasingly Bible illiterate. They believe in the core teachings of Christianity less and less. I think that the average unbeliever 70 years ago was more moral than the professing Christian of today.

Revival in a nation starts with you do not hold unto that mindset.
You need to save yourself and many others that are on the part of destruction.
To you the Bible passage isn't referring to the present day Christians but to me it does even though it is coined from the old testament the earlier we tell ourselves the truth the better for us.
The nature of man has been desperately wicked but you and I could go a long way to living a life that pleases God.
Why dwell so much in sin that you become deeply in need for a revival.
It is up to us to allow our conscience function appropriately.
Lets keep praying for America no matter what happens.

Thank you for sharing. It's a great reminder for me to thank God for sending His Son Jesus so that I may be saved. Yes, no one is perfect. Everyone falls short of His glory, but thank God for Jesus Christ, because He redeemed me for my sins.
