COMPLETE OBEDIENCE

GENESIS 12:1-3

Now the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: Vs. 1
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: Vs. 2
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth shall be blessed. Vs. 3

In this scripture, we’ve seen the promises God made to Abram, if only he fulfills these conditions.
• Get thee out of thy country
• From thy kindred
• From thy father’s house unto a land HE will show him.

In Genesis 12:1-3, God made some powerful promises to Abraham subject to only three conditions. He fulfilled two of the conditions and felt the third one was unnecessary by so doing, everything began to go wrong.
As the problem began to increase, there was no peace in his home and the Lord who said unto him to get thee out of thy country ceased speaking to him, he realized what he did and asked Lot to separate from him.

Genesis 13:8-11

And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Vs. 8
Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.Vs. 9
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Vs 10
Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. Vs. 11

Genesis 13:14-18,

And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: Vs. 14
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. Vs. 15
And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Vs. 16
Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.Vs. 17
Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the Lord. Vs. 18

After a total obedience from Abram, God resumed talking to him from where He stopped some years earlier. His refusal for total obedience to God’s word only made him stagnant and ceased him from hearing from God for that long.

Check your life for any pending or delayed obedience and immediately settle the issue. As long as there is a pending or delayed obedience , you might not hear from God.
Have you obeyed God in certain areas but failed to do so in one or more area? make up your mind today to start obeying God totally so that you can begin to make progress at the rate God intended for you. Notice that not until Abram was able to do totally as God commanded him to do, that was when he began to progress at the rate God intended him to.

Until his total obedience , Abraham’s beautiful wife that was a source of joy became a source of sorrow as he ran from famine. He lost his wife and could have been killed but for God’s mercy. If you are constantly getting into trouble even when you feel you’ve done all God has asked you to do, find out if there is a pending or delayed obedeice.

If you are refusing to obey God totally, your progress will be impeded

Moreover, the vulnerable girl-child (even with both parents) will be considered in this project. While I grew up, I had been hurt because I had no one to talk to nor be concerned with my worries. I know the pains such girls go through and @BlessTheOrphan project will be a coverage for them. In this part of the world, some girls are so neglected that some rarely have access to the basic woman’s need such as sanitary wares. #BlessTheOrphan project will be a coverage to such.
