ENTERPRISING

You have to be enterprising. What does it mean to be enterprising? To be enterprising means to have or show the ability or desire to do nee and different things - and probably difficult. Planting seeds in the time of famine must have been enterprising for Isaac. It was something new. Being enterprising is a personal thing. You have to do this yourself; God wont do it for you. He can make the seed grow but He won't plant the seed. God will do what He has to do but He won't do what you have to do.

An enterprising man ventures out into the deep in spite of the odds. Like Peter, he steps out upon the waves at the Lord's command. That's being enterprising. I know stories of people who have come up from nothing to become people to reckon with. How they did it? They were enterprising. It wasn't easy. Ask isaac if he don't feel like he was wasting precious seeds when he was planting in famine. I mean, who does that? Obviously not someone in his right mind.

Opportunities to be enterprising to be enterprising abound all around you. All you have to do is keep an open mind and look out for them. Someone asks you to help him sell a car and without even giving it any thought or consideration, you say you don't have the time. Selling is not your thing. No one would buy it from you, etc. Do you know what opportunities may arise from that seemingly inconvenient deal? No, you obviously don't.

Another meaning of enterprising is marked by an independent, energetic spirit and willingness to act. This individual does not need a push to do what has to be done.
