INTRODUCTION

Faith, the greatest activation we need
Faith is the belief and trust we have over someone or something. God requires our belief in him for a proper relationship. You can’t work with whom you don’t trust and this is why our faith in God should be 100% without even a strife.

“How can we believe in a God that we can’t even see?” so many of these kind of questions will come from many that are having a slight doubt in God, probably because of one thing or the other that they might have passed through and they came to a halt thinking there is no God. I would ask, did you see the air that you breath? No, you don’t. You only feel the air around you. The truth is, God is even much around us than the air we breath, very much but he just need you to have Faith in him.

From the first time in our walk with God, we have faith by believing in him. This belief ushered us into being heir with God cos in romans 8:17, the bible said, “now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ…” this can only be possible when we say yes to God, for without Faith, it is impossible to please God (hebrew 11:6a). And to tell you that God is not an exasperating God, he ushered us to another level of faith, REWARD. In Hebrews 11;6b for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and he is a REWARDER of them that diligently seek him. Reward comes with faith. Nobody can have access to God without having faith in HIM.
Can we leave the role of faith in salvation and focus on the huge thing Faith in God has in stock for us? That’s my center of study anyway.

FAITH REDEFINED

Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the substance of thing hoped for and the evidence of things not seen” this is faith according to the bible. We don’t see these things but we have huge faith that we gonna get there. The world is falling on you but you trust God that you’ve not even seen to save you from this deep shit. The world wants to press itself on you but you don’t care if your back is against the wall, you just know that God is gonna make a way. And this is why in faith, we have hope. Great Hope in God that admidst anything we will come out strong.

In the bible when Jesus was with his disciples and there was a great storm, they were so scared that they are gonna die. Peter shook Jesus while he was asleep to inform him that they would drown. Jesus waking up, without stressing much, stretched out his hands and said, “peace, be still”, the disciples were surprised and wondered what manner of man he is. Jesus character always astonish me. He turned to them and admonished them to have just a little faith, even if its as small as the ‘mustard seed’. Mustard seed? Dear lord! He doesn’t want us to have faith that is as huge as a mountain. No, he only needs little of our faith, that little faith would move that biggest problem that you think would swallow you.

ABRAHAM, THE FATHER OF FAITH

It would interest you to know that Abraham so much had faith in God, that’s why he listened to every instruction from God. In the bible when God told him that hes gonna offer his son Isaac for sacrifice, Abraham didn’t argue with God, he didn’t tell his wife what was on board, he had faith. He had faith that God is gonna provide a sacrifice. He believed that if God wanna take his son, so be it and he God wont leave him childless. Did you think that he forgot that God once told him that he’s going to be the father to many nations? Nah, he didn’t forget that. He believed in the God that spoke to him the previous day and the God that was speaking to him that very day. Abraham never had a second thought about the faith he has in God. He stocked to him till the very end. And God? He actually provided a ram for the sacrifice, seeing that Abraham had already killed Isaac in his heart. Abraham is known as a man of faith in the bible.

CONCLUSION

Mark 11:24 where the scripture made it plain to us that whenever we pray, we should have faith that God answers, I paraphrased anyway. He wouldn’t create us not to listen to us, you know. So, when we pray lets be assured that He would answer us. You know another beautiful thing about Gods word? He knows that some Christians would become lazy on hearing FAITH, he knows some students won’t read their books cos they think only faith would carry them, then he showed us in his word again in James 2:14 Faith without work is dead. If you don’t work out the things God have in stuck for you and you are there shouting faith, you will definitely be held to stagnancy.
Have Faith in God and see Him work wonders in your life. Do the part he wants you to carry out and trust him too much to not leave you to shame.

God is all knowing , all caring and all present

He knows the future, all we need to do is show strong faith in Him and He won't disappoint us. Infact, He has never dissapointed us

Wrong. Don't you think Job was disappointed when his 10 children all died at once? Disappointed is too mild a word. Job was devastated.

I was married to my first wife for 10 years. She had two stillborn children. She died when she was 30 years old.

God never promised to make us happy. God never promised that we wouldn't experience trials, problems, and tragedies. God promised to be with us no matter what we go through in life.

You talk about having trust in the promises of God but you don't say what those promises are.

Our faith should be in God. We should trust God. We should trust that God knows what he's doing regardless of what's happening in our lives.

This is one of the best examples of faith in the New Testament:

(Mark 1:40-41 NIV) A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." {41} Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"

Hebrews has this definition of faith:

(Hebrews 11:6 NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
