@simms50 I like that verse too, but for some it causes mental air gaps between Old and New Testament commandments instructions. Because, some like to point to "I give you a new commandment" rather then seeing it as "New" and not a replacement!

For me I think the new is more on the lines of bringing the commandment to a greater meaning just like He did with murder and adultery there in Matthew 5.

The interesting thing the deep meanings are in the old, Yeshua and the apostles just reveals them to us, such as David's story dealing with Murder, adultery, repentance, and punishment!
The old reveals the new and the new reveals the old.
